Ties that speak volumes about your personality

The famous author, Oscar Wilde, probably knew what he was talking about when he quoted the legendary lines “A well-tied tie is the first serious step in life”. Centuries have passed since then, the humble bow-tie has come a long way in terms of fashion make-over. However, one thing that still holds true is the fact that the modern man’s first serious step in life is still with learning how to fix his tie. The suit is still considered to be a true gentleman’s attire. And what else can complement a suit other than a classy silk tie? After all, a man loosening his tie after a hard day’s work is one of the most attractive pictures for all the women out there, right? Nowadays, famous brands like Bolvaint are into creating new-age designs that can woo the modern man. Wearing brands like the Bolvaint ties are still considered gentlemanly.

History of the bow-tie
The modern free-style self-tie that we see today is a successor of the historically celebrated bow-tie. The bow-tie is now rarely seen in public, except maybe on magicians and waiters at hotels. However, this bow-like piece of fabric worn around one’s neck has a rich and diverse historical significance. First worn by mercenaries from Croatia in the early 17th century, the bow-tie was initially just a thin scarf worn around the neck in order to hold up the shirt necks for these merchants. Over the years, this simple scarf began to be tied in the form of a shoe-lace bow and hence, derived the name ‘bow-tie’.
Suit’s best friend

The free-style ties now also come with many printed designs that complement the suit. You can get a wide range of Bolvaint motif ties online and other brands as well. After all, there is no stopping a man who wears his tie right!
